Welcome to ValueLights Trade. Here's the important (but we promise, simple) information you need to know about shopping with us. By using our site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

We're ValueLights Limited, a UK-based lighting company supplying quality wholesale lighting to trade customers across the UK.

When we say "we", "our", or "us", that's ValueLights. When we say "you", that refers to the trade account holder or business placing an order.

2. Using our website

By using trade.valuelights.co.uk, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

We update our terms occasionally to keep things current, so check back for the latest version if required.

Our website may link to third party sites for convenience such as couriers or payment providers. We don't control those sites and cannot guarantee their content or security, so please use them at your discretion.

3. Your privacy

We take privacy seriously and only collect the data we need to provide you with a reliable trade service. We will never sell your information to third parties.

4. Your responsibilities

When using our site, please do not:

• Break the law.
• Upload anything offensive or harmful.
• Attempt to hack our systems or introduce malicious software.
• Infringe the rights of others.

If we suspect misuse, we reserve the right to suspend or close your trade account to protect our site and customers.

5. Our content

All content on this site including text, designs, photography and branding belongs to ValueLights or our partners. You may view and download content for legitimate business purposes only.

Please do not:

• Copy, resell or use our content commercially without prior written permission.

Modify, reverse engineer or redistribute our software or images.

6. Orders & payments

• All prices displayed are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
• Trade pricing is only visible and applicable to approved ValueLights Trade account holders.
• We accept all major debit and credit cards and PayPal. Please note that buy now pay later options are not available on trade orders.
• Your order is not confirmed until we have acknowledged dispatch via email.
• If a pricing or stock error occurs, we reserve the right to cancel and refund your order.
• Please retain your order confirmation email as proof of purchase for returns or warranty purposes.

7. Delivery

Full details of our trade delivery options, costs and timescales are listed on our Delivery Information page. We aim to deliver on time, but delays can occasionally occur due to events outside our control such as courier disruption or severe weather. In the event of a delay, we will do everything we can to keep you informed.

8. Returns & refunds

You have 30 days from delivery to return an item. Unlike our consumer returns process, all trade returns must be arranged directly through our Trade Team. Please contact us on 0161 837 6095 or via email at trade@trade.valuelights.co.uk to initiate a return.

Please note that a 30% handling fee applies to most trade returns, which will be deducted from your refund or credit note once the item has been received and inspected. This does not apply to items that arrive faulty or damaged.

Refunds are processed within 10 working days of receiving and inspecting your return. Your bank may take a few additional days to show the funds in your account.

9. Warranty

All ValueLights products come with a 1 year warranty against manufacturing faults. If something goes wrong within that period, we will repair, replace or refund the item as appropriate. This does not affect your statutory rights.

10. Discount codes

Promotional Code LIGHT10: Receive an additional 10% off sitewide when the promotional code is applied at checkout. Any promotional codes issued to ValueLights Trade account holders are subject to the specific terms communicated at the time of issue. Codes are non-transferable, cannot be used in conjunction with other offers and no cash alternative is available. ValueLights reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw any promotion at any time without notice.

11. Competitions

Where ValueLights Trade runs prize draws or competitions, the following terms apply:

• Open to UK registered businesses unless otherwise stated.
• One entry per business unless otherwise specified.
• ValueLights employees and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
• Closing dates are final and late entries will not be accepted.
• Winners will be selected at random and contacted within 28 days of the closing date.

Prizes:

• No cash alternative is available.
• Prizes are non-transferable.
• We reserve the right to substitute a prize if the original becomes unavailable.

By entering, you agree that ValueLights may reference your business name in any winner announcements. Our decision is final.

12. Sharing content

If you submit reviews, photographs or other content to us:

• You grant ValueLights a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it for marketing purposes.
• You confirm that the content is yours and does not infringe the rights of any third party.

13. Liability & limitations

We aim to provide an excellent trade service at all times, but we cannot be held responsible for:

• Losses that were not foreseeable at the time of ordering.
• Indirect losses including loss of income or business disruption.
• Delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We review and update these terms periodically. The most current version will always be available on this page.

Pro Tip: Keep your order confirmation email safe, it’s your proof of purchase for returns or warranty.

8. Returns & refunds - hassle-free & free-free

Changed your mind? It happens!

You’ve got 30 days from delivery to return your item. Returns are free and simple. See our Returns & Refunds page for full details. Faulty or damaged? Let us know within 30 days so we can sort it quickly.

Refunds:

• Processed within 10 working days after we receive and check your return.
• Your bank may take an extra 3–5 days to show the money.

Promotional Code LIGHT15: Receive 15% off your order when a valid promotional code is applied at checkout. A minimum spend of £50 applies after any discounts and before delivery charges. Exclusions apply and some products are not included in this offer. The promotion is subject to availability and applies to online orders only at valuelights.co.uk. ValueLights reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the promotion at any time without notice. No cash alternative is available. Standard ValueLights Terms & Conditions apply.

11. Competitions - want to win? Read this!

Here’s how our prize draws work:

• Open to UK residents aged 18+ (unless stated otherwise).
• Codes don’t cover delivery or gift cards.
• One entry per person/email unless we say otherwise.
• Employees (and their families) can’t enter, sorry team!
• Closing dates matter, late entries won’t count.
• Winners picked at random and contacted within 28 days.

Prizes:

• No cash alternative.
• Non-transferable.
• We may substitute if something’s unavailable.
• Delivery of prizes: Allow up to 28 days, unless otherwise stated.
• By entering, you agree we can share your name on our website or socials if you win.
• Our decision is final. No arguments, no appeals.

We can amend these rules or cancel competitions if needed.

12. Clearpay - shop now, pay later

We aim for perfection, but we can’t be held responsible for:

• Losses we couldn’t predict.
• Indirect losses (like missed events or loss of income).
• Delays caused by things beyond our control (bad weather, courier strikes, etc.).

This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.

Our terms are under English law, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales.
